Allan Dwan was a film director. He was born in Toronto, Canada on April 3, 1885. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a degree in electrical engineering. Allan worked for Essanay as a scenario editor, later moving to the American Film Company. He married Betty Marie Shelton and had no children.
